The Story of Solution Practice Management: Rediscovering the Joy of Private Practice
In recent years, a troubling trend has emerged in the healthcare industry: private equity firms have been rapidly acquiring independent medical practices, leaving many physicians feeling disillusioned and sidelined. As talented doctors became employees in their own companies, the very essence of what made their practices unique seemed to fade away. This situation resonated deeply with Dr. Thomas Rambacher and Dr. David Pougatsch, two dedicated physicians who witnessed firsthand the dissatisfaction of their colleagues.
Having spent years in compliance consulting for Medicare and private insurances, Dr. Rambacher and Dr. Pougatsch identified a pressing need for an alternative model that would allow doctors to maintain their independence. Many of their friends expressed a longing to run their practices according to their own vision—free from the constraints imposed by hospitals, managed care organizations, or private equity. Inspired by these conversations, they embarked on a transformative journey to revolutionize the way private practices operate.
Over 18 months, they meticulously crafted a solution that aimed to keep private practices independent while empowering doctors to reclaim control over their careers and lifestyles. This vision culminated January 2025 in the creation of Solution Practice Management—a company designed to provide comprehensive support for physicians seeking to maintain autonomy in their practices.
At Solution Practice Management, the focus is simple: to alleviate the administrative burdens that so often lead to burnout and dissatisfaction.
